In the seventh round (246th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected Leno. Leno was promoted to the full-time starting left tackle position in Week 4 of the 2015 campaign after serving as a backup as a rookie.

Leno and the Bears agreed to a four-year, $38 million contract deal on August 23, 2017. In 2018, he was the first offensive lineman from the Bears to be named to the Pro Bowl since James O. Williams in 2001.

Leno served as the Bears’ starting left tackle for seven seasons before his release on May 3, 2021, when the organization selected Teven Jenkins over him in the draft.
