Chase Louis De Jong is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball.
He was born on December 29, 1993, in the United States. During the Major League Baseball draft in 2012, the Toronto Blue Jays selected De Jong in the second round of available players.
He made his MLB debut in 2017. He is a former Major League Baseball player who has competed for the Seattle Mariners, Minnesota Twins, Houston Astros, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
He has a fastball, a cut fastball, a slider, a curve, and a change-up in his pitching repertoire.
De Jong was picked in the second round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
