Between the years 2015 and 2018, Lindstrom was a player at Boston College. During the course of his career, he started 49 out of a total of 52 games.

In the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected Lindstrom with the 14th overall pick, making him the team’s first overall pick.

To begin the new season, the Falcons will use him at right guard in the starting lineup. However, Lindstrom sustained a broken foot during Week 1 of the season, and on September 9, 2019, he was placed on injured reserve.

On December 2, 2019, he was taken off of injured reserve and marked for return. That same day, he started practicing with the squad again. On December 7, 2019, he was activated, which was in advance of Week 14.
