Chris Streveler Parents: Meet Erik Streveler and Christine Streveler

Christopher L. Streveler is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He attended high school at Marian Central Catholic.

He played college football in Minnesota and South Dakota. Streveler previously played two seasons as a backup quarterback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL).

In 2019, Streveler was on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers when they won the 107th Grey Cup championship by defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 33-12, at McMahon Stadium in Calgary, Alberta.

Streveler signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League on May 4, 2018, after going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft.

He was expected to compete with Blue Bombers’ quarterbacks Matt Nichols, Darian Durant, and Alex Ross in training camp. However, the presumptive backup quarterback, Darian Durant, retired before the start of training camp.

The Blue Bombers signed quarterback Bryan Bennett to compete with Streveler and Ross for backup behind Nichols. On June 1, 2018, Streveler played in his first preseason game with the Blue Bombers, going 10 for 10 with 140 yards and an 80-yard touchdown pass.

On June 6, Nichols suffered an injury in practice that would later sideline him for four to six weeks to open the 2018 season.

On November 29, 2021, Streveler was signed to the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad. On February 22, 2022, Streveler signed with the Miami Dolphins. He was waived by the Dolphins on May 18, 2022. On July 26, 2022, Streveler signed with the New York Jets.
