Charles Edward Clark Jr. is a strong safety with the Baltimore Ravens, who are members of the National Football League. In college, he played football at Virginia Tech. The Baltimore Ravens drafted Clark in the sixth round of the 2017 National Football League Draft.
Clark attended Suffolk, Virginia’s King’s Fork High School, and participated in basketball, track, and American football. He was listed by ESPN as the No. 68 safety in the nation, the No. 145 player in his district, and the No. 34 player in the state at his position.
Clark made 292 tackles while attending Virginia Tech and started 40 of his 52 games.
Clark, who was listed as a cornerback, participated in the NFL Scouting Combine. At Virginia Tech’s Pro Day on March 15, 2017, Clark decided to compete in the 40-yard dash (4.56 seconds), 20-yard dash (2.65 seconds), 10-yard dash (1.59 seconds), and vertical leap (33 1/2 inches).
Unfortunately, Clark’s performance couldn’t exceed his combined results. After the pre-draft process, scouts and draft gurus for the NFL predicted that Clark would either be selected in the sixth to seventh round or go undrafted.
