He received recognition in 2014 for being named to the Parade All-American first team, Prep Star All-American Dream Team, Max Preps All-American first team, and All-State Class AAAAAA first team.

He attended the University of Southern California after high school and played collegiate football there from 2015 to 2018 for the USC Trojans team. He attended USC and majored in political science.
