American football safety Cody Davis is now a member of the National Football League’s New England Patriots. On June 6, 1989, Davis was born.
He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the St. Louis Rams in 2013 after they took a chance on him. He was also a player with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
His time playing college football at Texas Tech. Following his senior year, Davis was recognized by his peers as the District 8-4A Defensive Most Valuable Player and by the Associated Press with a berth in the Class 4A Second Team All-State.
He has 99 tackles, 21 pass breakups, 9 interceptions, 7 forced fumbles, and 4 fumble recoveries in 2007. He also recovered four fumbles in total.

He was second on the team with 87 total tackles in 2010 and shared the team lead with Bront Bird with 68 solo tackles. He was the second-best tackler overall for the team. He was a member of the scout team in 2008.
He participated in all 13 games and sported a red shirt throughout. He was named All-America both as a rookie and a redshirt in 2009.
