Cody Morris happens to be one of the minor league players in the Cleveland Guardians organisation. Cody was born on November 4, 1996, in Columbia, Mary land in the USA. He plays as a pitcher for the Guardians and has a height of 1.93 m.
Cody played baseball as an amateur at Reservoir High School in Fulton, Maryland. After high school, he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 32nd round of the 2015 MLB draft but he did not sign and chose to play college baseball at the University of South Carolina.
When he graduated from the University, the Cleveland Guardians drafted him in the 7th round of the 2018 MLB draft. He made his professional debut the following season with the Lake County Captains and Lynchburg Hill cats where he played in over 21 games.
He did not play a minor league game in the 2020 season as the season got cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. When the season resumed in 2021, he was assigned to spend it with the Akron Rubber Ducks and was later promoted during the season to the Columbus Clippers. The Cleveland Guardians added him to their 40-man roster in November 2021.
