Colby Gossett is a professional football player with the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons. He stands 1.96 m tall and weighs 150 kg. He played football and went to North Forsyth High School. He was a member of the Appalachian State Mountaineers football team and played college football there.
The Minnesota Vikings selected Gossett with the 213rd overall pick in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He entered into a rookie deal with the Vikings in May 2018. He was released on September 1 and added to the practice squad the following day. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals in October after being released by the Vikings’ practice squad.
The Cardinals, in August 2019 let him go. He joined the New England Patriots practice squad on September 2, 2019, and on September 11, he was released. On September 12, 2019, he was added to the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad. In December 2019, he received a promotion to the active roster.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, he declared in August 2020 that he will not participate in the 2020 season. On August 31, 2021, the Browns released him. He was taken off waivers by the Atlanta Falcons on September 1, 2021. He agreed to a contract with the Falcons in March 2022.
