In the previous NFL Draft, Banwart, an Iowan, went undrafted. To be with the Titans until September 9th, he signed as a rookie free agent. For the remainder of the season, he worked out with the Vikings and the Giants. Later, he signed with the Miami Dolphins as an offensive lineman through 2024. He becomes a free agent in 2025.

Having previously played for the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants, Banwart joins the Vikings practice squad.

Banwart joined the Titans as a rookie free agent in 2021 after going undrafted out of Iowa, and on September 9 he was released. Banwart spent time camping in Tennessee before being drafted on September 21 and released on October 19.

In 2020, Banwart, who started eight games at left and right guard for Iowa, was named to the Pro Football Focus Third-Team All-America team and the league’s and Phil Steele’s Second-Team All-Big Ten teams.

After battling injuries throughout his time at Iowa, Banwart finally had his first season as a full-time starter in 2020.
