Cole R. Irvin (born January 31, 1994), sometimes known as “Swirvin Cole Irvin,” is an Oakland Athletics pitcher.

Irvin was selected in the fifth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, and he made his major league debut in 2019.

Irvin was picked in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, who signed him for $800,000.

He was assigned to the Williamsport Crosscutters shortly after signing and pitched for them for the entire season, going 5–1 with a 1.97 ERA in ten games (seven starts).

He pitched for the Clearwater Threshers and Reading Fightin Phils in 2017, going 9–9 with a 3.39 ERA in 26 games (25 starts) for both teams. He was a Florida State League All-Star with the Clearwater Rays.

On May 12, 2019, Irvin was promoted to the major leagues for the first time and made his big league debut. He won his first MLB game after pitching seven innings and allowing one earned run.

Irvin pitched in 16 games (three starts) with the Phillies in 2019, posting a 2-1 record, one save, and a 5.83 ERA in 412 innings.

Irvin only pitched in three games in 2020, accumulating a 17.18 ERA and four strikeouts in 323 innings.

Irvin was dealt to the Oakland Athletics for monetary considerations on January 30, 2021.

In 32 starts in 2021, Irvin was 10–15 with a 4.24 ERA. In terms of losses (15) and hits allowed, he topped the American League (195).
