Cole Bryson Tucker is a Major League Baseball shortstop and outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB). In 2019, he made his MLB debut.

Tucker was chosen 24th overall in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He signed a $1,800,000 signing bonus on June 12, 2014, and spent the 2014 season with the Gulf Coast League Pirates, where he batted .267 with a .724 OPS.

He had committed to the Arizona Wildcats to play college baseball. Tucker batted .293 with the West Virginia Power in 2015, with 25 stolen bases and 13 doubles

Tucker reappeared to the Power in 2016 and was eventually moved to the Bradenton Marauders, where he batted .242 with two home runs and 27 RBIs between the two teams.

He began the 2017 season with the Bradenton Braves before being promoted to the Altoona Curve in July. Tucker batted.275 in 110 games in 2017, with six home runs, 50 RBIs, and 47 stolen bases.

At the start of the 2018 season, MLB.com ranked Tucker as Pittsburgh’s fifth-best prospect.

After the season, he was signed to the Pirates’ 40-man roster.
