Cole Tucker is an American professional baseball shortstop and outfielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2019.



Tucker was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, as the 24th overall pick.

He signed with the Gulf Coast League Pirates on June 12, 2014, for a signing bonus of $1,800,000[5]. In 2014, he batted.267 with a.724 OPS.



He had already made a decision to attend the University of Arizona and play college baseball. Tucker had a.293 batting average and 25 stolen bases with the West Virginia Power in 2015.

At the end of his rookie season, Tucker returned to the Power, where he batted.242 with two home runs and 27 RBIs, before being promoted to the Bradenton Marauders.

Bradenton was his first stop in 2017; however, he was quickly promoted to the Altoona Curve by July.

Last year, Tucker played in 110 games for the Red Sox and batted.275 with six home runs, 50 RBI, and 47 stolen bases.
