A tight end for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders, Cole Turner plays in the league professionally. He measures 1.98 meters tall and 109 kg. At Clackamas High School, he studied and participated in high school football. His high school football team won three straight conference championships under his leadership, as well as a state title in 2017.

As a senior in 2017, he had 76 receptions for 1,325 yards and 20 touchdowns, which put him first in the state of Oregon in receiving. He was also named all-state. After graduating from high school, he went to the University of Nevada, Reno, where he played college football for the Nevada Wolf Pack squad.

As a freshman in 2018, he took part in 12 games as a wide receiver. In 2020, he switched positions to tight end as a sophomore, and because to his nine touchdown catches, he was named to the first team of the Mountain West. He finished second on the team in both catches (49) and receiving yards (605). As a senior in 2021, he caught 10 touchdown passes, which tied for the second-most among tight ends in the nation and earned him a spot on the All-Mountain West second team.

His involvement in the Senior Bowl in 2022. The Washington Commanders selected Turner with the 149th overall choice in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie contract on May 6, 2022.
