Collin Johnson Siblings: Who Is Collin Johnson’s Brother, Kirk Johnson?

American football wide receiver Collin Johnson plays for the National Football League’s New York Giants (NFL). He played college football at Texas.

Collin Johnson’s father is called Johnnie Johnson who played for Texas and the NFL for eleven years before being elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007.

Kirk, Collin’s older brother plays in the NFL while Collin’s sister competes on the track and field team. Collin proposed to Sara Machado, his high school sweetheart, on June 26, 2020.

He graduated from Valley Christian High School in San Jose and is the son of cornerback Johnnie Johnson, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. Johnson will be the NFL’s tallest wide receiver as of 2020.

Johnson, a student at Valley Christian in San Jose, was injured in both his sophomore and senior seasons, but he still had over 1,100 yards in his final year.

Johnson had scholarship offers from USC, Arizona State, Utah, Rutgers, Cal, and TCU by the winter of his sophomore year, but he and his brother Kirk, a running back who is a year older than Collin, chose Texas on April 17, 2014.

Johnson started one game and participated in each one as a freshman. He made nine starts during his second campaign, finishing with 54 catches.

Early in his junior year, Johnson hauled in 191 yards versus USC, a career-best, including 47 on the game-winning score. Dorian Leonard took Johnson’s place at the top of the depth chart after he struggled against Oklahoma. Johnson described the benching as a chance for personal development and learning a year later.

Coach Tom Herman praised Johnson’s significant offseason improvement before his senior season. Johnson was also added to the preseason watch lists for the Walter Camp Award, Wuerffel Award, and Biletnikoff Award.

Johnson was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 165th overall choice in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The trade that sent Dante Fowler to the Los Angeles Rams netted the Jaguars the 165th pick, which was utilized to select Johnson.

Johnson has three receptions for 30 yards and his first career touchdown reception in Week 5’s 30-14 loss to the Houston Texans. Johnson had four receptions for 96 yards and a score in Week 11’s 27-25 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Johnson ran in a 46-yard ball from Jaguars quarterback Mike Glennon for his second touchdown of the season. Johnson was placed on injured reserve on January 2, 2021.
