In the National Football League, Collin Johnson plays wide receiver for the New York Giants. He stands 1.98 m tall and weighs 100 kg. He played football while a student at Valley Christian High School. In April 2014, he made a commitment to attend the University of Texas at Austin. He participated in college football at Texas for the Texas Longhorns.

As a rookie, he participated in every game, and as a sophomore, he started nine games and finished the campaign with 54 catches. Coach Tom Herman recognized Johnson’s significant offseason improvement prior to his senior season. He was included on the preseason watch lists for the Walter Camp Award, Wuerffel Award, and Biletnikoff Award.

Johnson was named National Player of the Week in the fourth week for his acrobatics and 124 yards against TCU. Due to a slight knee injury, he was unable to participate in the game against Texas Tech on November 10. In the 2018 Big 12 Championship Game, he set a record with 177 receiving yards. Johnson was taken by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 165th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
