Colt McCoy

Colt McCoy is an American football quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Texas, where he won several awards and honors as a senior in 2009.

Hobbs, New Mexico is where McCoy began his life. His parents, Steven Brad McCoy and Debra Kay (Woodruff) McCoy have three children, and he is the oldest of the bunch.

In the little town of Tuscola, Texas, with a total population of 714, he received his secondary education at Jim Ned High School, where his father was his football coach.

As a high school athlete, he was named to the first team of All-State and was a two-time recipient of the Associated Press 2A Offensive MVP award. He also received several other accolades.

Over the course of his career, he had a completion percentage of 63.1, completing 536 of 849 passes for 9,344 yards and 116 touchdowns.

He holds the record for most passing yards in the history of Texas high schools competing in Division 2A and is ranked fourth overall in the history of Texas high schools.

Additionally, throughout his junior and senior years at Jim Ned High School, McCoy was the school’s punter.

Colt McCoy, who plays quarterback for an American football team, has two brothers named Case and Chance.

His brother, Case McCoy, was a quarterback for the University of Texas Longhorns football team during his collegiate career in American football.

Over the course of three years, he was Texas’ starting quarterback for 16 games, during which time the Longhorns went 9–7. He is Colt McCoy’s younger brother, and he plays quarterback in the NFL.
