Connor Kok-Wy Joe, a Chinese-American first baseman and outfielder for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball, was born on August 16, 1992. (MLB). He previously represented the San Francisco Giants in MLB.

The Pittsburgh Pirates selected Joe with the 39th overall pick in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft.

With the West Virginia Power, Joe made his professional debut in 2015, batting.245/.366/.303 for the season. He played 107 games for the Bradenton Marauders in High-A in 2016, slashing.277/.351/392 in that time.

He participated in the Arizona Fall League following the 2016 season. To start the 2017 campaign, Joe was sent to the Double-A Altoona Curve.

Joe entered a minor league agreement with the Colorado Rockies organization on November 20, 2020. Joe was chosen for the active roster on May 7, 2021. Joe doubled as a first baseman and a left fielder, hitting.285 with eight home runs and 35 RBI in 63 games.

Peter and Mee-Sun Joe are Joe’s parents. He has Chinese ancestry. His mother’s family relocated to New York, while his father’s family moved to Connecticut after his grandparents left China.

His parents settled in Poway, California, a borough of San Diego, after getting married. Two restaurants were run by his family in San Diego.
