Cooper Rush represents the Dallas Cowboys as the quarterback in the National Football League. He stands 1.91 m tall and weighs 102 kg. He took studies at Lansing Catholic High School and played high school football there. In addition to being awarded All-State as a senior, he was also honored with the Associated Press and ESPN Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year awards and the Michigan Division 5/6 Player of the Year titles.

He had 1,438 rushing yards and 27 rushing touchdowns by the time he graduated from high school, adding up to 7,248 passing yards and 80 passing scores. Both his college studies and his football career were pursued at Central Michigan University. He won Central Michigan’s Scout Team Player of the Year award.

The first 13 games of his greatest season, which he had as a junior in 2015, saw him pass for 3,703 yards, a new single-season mark for the school. He had 90 touchdown passes, 12,894 passing yards, and 49 consecutive starts by the time he concluded his college career. Immediately following the May 2017 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys signed Rush as an undrafted free agent.

On a restricted free agent tender for a year, he re-signed with the Cowboys in March 2020. He was picked up by the New York Giants in May 2020 off waivers. Rush became a member of the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad in October 2020. In the event that Dak Prescott gets hurt, he was added to the active roster on September 17, 2022, and will start.
