Corbin Burnes is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2018 and won the National League Cy Young Award in 2021.

Burnes graduated from Bakersfield’s Centennial High School. In 22 appearances during his senior year, he had a 9–4 record with a 2.23 earned run average (ERA).

He attended Saint Mary’s College of California after high school and played college baseball there. He was a member of the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League in the summer of 2015.

In 16 starts during his junior season, he went 9–2 with a 2.48 ERA. After the season, he was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Burnes debuted in the Arizona League with the Brewers and was later promoted to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

Burnes went 3–0 with a 2.02 ERA in 35+23 innings pitched between Arizona and Wisconsin.

He began the 2017 season with the Carolina Mudcats before being promoted to the Biloxi Shuckers after 10 starts with a 1.05 ERA.
