Courtland Sutton, an American football wide receiver with the Denver Broncos of the National Football League, was born on October 10, 1995. In the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Broncos selected him out of SMU’s football program.



Sutton played high school football while attending Brenham High School in Brenham, Texas.
He received first-team All-District honors as a tight end and second-team honors as a safety as a senior.

Brenham had a 14-2 record at the end of the 2013 campaign but fell to Aledo in the UIL 4A Division 2 state final.



The Denver Broncos drafted Sutton in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft (40th overall). He was chosen as the third wide receiver that year ([12]).

In the Broncos’ 27-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in the season opener, Sutton made his NFL debut with two receptions for 45 yards.

Last season, the Broncos gave Sutton a new contract despite his recent severe injury. Sutton extended his contract with the Broncos for four additional years and $60.8 million on November 22, 2021, through the 2025 campaign.

Sutton had 58 receptions for 776 yards and two touchdowns by the end of the season.
