Creed Humphrey plays centre for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs. He recently joined the team and was born on June 28, 1999.
He also received the accolade while playing college football in Oklahoma, when he won the Big 12 Conference’s offensive lineman of the year award in both 2019 and 2020.
The Chiefs chose him to join their team in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. For his high school football career, Humphrey played at Shawnee High School in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
He is ranked as the third-best centre in the nation and the fifth-best prospect from the state of Oklahoma by 247Sports.com. In addition, he came in third place overall in Oklahoma.
For the US Army, Humphrey took part in the 2017 All-American Football Game. He verbally committed to playing collegiate football for Texas A&M in June 2016.
He later reneged on that promise, though, and chose to work with Oklahoma instead, signing a national letter of intent. Humphrey did not play during his first season at Oklahoma in 2017 and instead wore a red shirt.
He played in all 14 of the games in 2018 and started 12. He returned to Oklahoma in 2019 and 2020, starting at center for the Sooners, and was honoured both times as the Big 12 Conference’s offensive lineman of the year.
