D. J. Humphries is a well-known professional football player who plays offensive lineman for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals. He weighs 139 kilograms and stands 1.96 meters tall. While a student at Mallard Creek High School, he competed in football, basketball, and track. He played football for the Florida Gators of the University of Florida from 2012 to 2014.

As a true freshman, he participated in each of the 12 games, starting three. He received first-team offensive and Sporting News Freshman All-America accolades for the SEC Coaches’ All-Freshman (OL) list. He participated in his sophomore season’s first seven games before suffering a season-ending injury in 2013.

He played in 10 games as a junior in 2014. After his junior year, he announced his intent to enter the 2015 NFL Draft. Humphries was taken by the Arizona Cardinals with the 24th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. In that year, he signed a four-year, $8.91 million rookie contract with $7.26 million guaranteed and a $4.74 million signing bonus.

In April 2018, the Cardinals decided to exercise the fifth-year option on his contract. In February 2020, he agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract extension with the Cardinals that would keep him with the team until the 2022 season. On August 2, 2022, he extended his deal with the Cardinals for a further three years and $66.6 million until the 2025 season.
