Dakoda Shepley, an offensive tackle with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, is a Canadian. He is 144 kg and 1.96 m tall. He went to Holy Names High School, where as a sophomore he started playing football. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the University of British Columbia, where he played collegiate football for the UBC Thunderbirds.
He sat out the 2013 season as a freshman. He assisted the group in capturing the Vanier Cup as a sophomore. He was selected as a right tackle Canada West All-star as a senior. After the 2018 NFL Draft, the New York Jets signed Shepley as an undrafted free agent.
With the Jets in 2018, he participated in training camp and three preseason games. On August 31, 2018, he was released by the jets. Even though he had been signed by the New York Jets just a week earlier, the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League took him with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft. He joined the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL in August 2020.
The 49ers cut him go in August 2021. He was taken off waivers in September 2021 by the Seattle Seahawks. On August 31, 2022, the Seahawks released him as part of the team’s final roster trimming. He was added to the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad on September 1, 2022.
