For the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, tight end Dallas Goedert is a professional football player. At 1.96 m tall and 116 kg, he is also quite tall. At Britton-Hecla High School, where he was enrolled, he played for the Braves in football, basketball, and soccer. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in South Dakota University.

From 2013 to 2017, he played as a walk-on for the football team of South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Over the course of his college career, he caught 198 passes for 2,988 yards and 21 touchdowns, including two seasons with 1,000 receiving yards in a row. Throughout his senior year, starting all 14 games and acting as team captain, he hauled in a total of 72 passes for 1,111 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

At the conclusion of the 2017 season, he accepted an invitation to play in the 2018 Senior Bowl. However, he was injured during practice and withdrew from the game. The Philadelphia Eagles selected Goedert in the second round, with the 49th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.

In May 2018, the Eagles signed him to a four-year, $5.62 million contract that includes $2.90 guaranteed and a signing bonus of $2.17 million. He made his NFL debut in the 2018 season opener against the Atlanta Falcons. In November 2021, Goedert signed a four-year contract extension with the Eagles.
