DaMarcus Fields plays cornerback for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League. He is 1.83 meters tall and 91 kg in weight. He attended Taylor High School and participated in high school football. He played intercollegiate football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Texas Tech University. Prior to starting each of the team’s 13 games as a cornerback in 2017, he redshirted and was inactive as a freshman.



With a total of 51 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and one interception, he came in fifth on the team. His overall total of fumble recoveries was the highest in the conference and ranked 26th nationally.

He made 224 total tackles during his college career, 13.5 of which were for loss, 4 forced fumbles and 4 recoveries, 4 interceptions, and 45 passes defended. After the 2022 NFL Draft, Fields signed on as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints. On September 1, he was reinstated to the practice squad after being fired on August 30.

He made his NFL debut against the Carolina Panthers in week three, after being signed to the active roster. After the match, he was promoted to the practice squad again. On September 28, he was added to the roster; however, he was removed on October 4, 2022. He agreed to join the Washington Commanders’ training camp roster on October 26, 2022.
