With the Washington Commanders of the National Football League, DaMarcus Fields plays cornerback professionally. He is 1.83 meters tall and 91 kg is his weight. His alma mater was Taylor High School, where he played football. He played intramural football for Texas Tech University’s Texas Tech Red Raiders squad.

Before beginning all 13 of his games as a cornerback in 2017, he redshirted and did not play as a freshman. With a total of 51 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and one interception, he was the team’s fifth-place finisher in tackles. He recovered more fumbles total than any other player in the conference, ranking 26th nationally.

With 224 total tackles, 13.5 for loss, 4 forced fumbles and 4 recoveries, 4 interceptions, and 45 passes defended altogether, he completed his college career. Fields agreed to a free agent deal with the New Orleans Saints following the 2022 NFL Draft. He was let go on August 30, but the following day, he was re-signed to the practice squad. After being added to the active roster in week three, he made his NFL debut in the matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
