Damarion Williams, a cornerback selected in the fourth round, became the fifth Ravens draft selection to sign a contract on Tuesday.
The Ravens were impressed with Williams’ versatility while he was in college and before the draft. He participated in every aspect of Houston’s secondary, and as a corner who can play both outside and in the slot, he will contend for playing time.
Williams’ adaptability has been compared to that of Brandon Stephens, who as a rookie in 2021 played both cornerback and safety, by Ravens Director of Player Personnel Joe Hortiz.

Williams, who is listed at 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, plays bigger than his listed stature and excels in both pass coverage and run defense.
Williams and Jalyn Armour-Davis of Alabama was selected by the Ravens in the fourth round as their starting cornerbacks, and both are expected to provide depth behind Pro Bowlers Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, and recently acquired veteran Kyle Fuller.
