Dane Dunning Parents: Meet Misu and John

Dane Dunning is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut with the Chicago White Sox in 2020.

As part of the White Sox’s 2017 roster, they sent Dunning to the Kannapolis Intimidators, where he had an impressive 0.35 ERA in 26 innings before being promoted to the Winston-Salem Dash.



While with the Winston-Salem and Birmingham Barons, Dunning compiled a combined 6–3 record and 2.71 earned run average in 15 appearances in 2018.

To repair a damaged ulnar collateral ligament, Dunning had surgery on March 18, 2019. James Andrews conducted his operation.

The 2019 season was a complete absence for Dunning. After the 2019 season, the White Sox added Dunning to their 40-man roster.

With just one walk and seven strikeouts in 413 innings of work, Dunning made his major league debut on August 19, 2020, in a 5-3 win over the Detroit Tigers.

Dunning pitched in seven games for the 2020 Chicago White Sox, going 2-0 with a 3.97 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 34 innings.
