Daniel Castano, full name Daniel Alexander Castano is a professional baseball player in the USA. He currently plays for the Miami Marlins baseball team and plays the position of a pitcher in the team.
Daniel was born in Florida on September 17, 1994, but grew up in Texas where he had his high school baseball career. In 2016, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 19th round of the 2016 MLB draft. He agreed to play for them and signed.
The Cardinals made him begin his professional career that year by playing for the Johnson City Cardinals the whole season. During the 2017 minor league season, he was assigned to spend the season playing for the State College Spikes where he was given the New York-Penn League All-Star honours.
The Miami Marlins purchased his contract from the Cardinals in December 2017. He was assigned by the Marlins to play with the Jupiter Hammerheads in the 2018 season and also with the Gulf Coast Marlins and the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
He spent the 2019 season playing for the Jupiter Hammerheads and was promoted during the season to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimps. He made his MLB debut for the Marlins on August 8, 2020.
