Daniel Francisco Duarte is a Mexican baseball relief reliever who now pitches for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2013, the Texas Rangers signed him as an international free agent. Duarte bats and throws right-handed and is listed as 6 feet 0 inches (1.83 m) and 170 pounds (77 kg).



Duarte was signed as an international free agent by the Texas Rangers on July 2, 2013.  In 2015, he made his professional debut with the AZL Rangers, pitching in four games and compiling a 5.68 ERA.

Duarte pitched in 12 games for the Dominican Summer League Rangers in 2016, posting a 6-3 record and 3.05 ERA in 59.0 innings thrown. Duarte was loaned to the Tigres de Quintana Roo of the Mexican League for the 2017 season on April 18, 2017.



On December 12, 2017, the Royals drafted Duarte in the Rule 5 draft’s minor league phase. From March 30 to June 30, 2018, he was loaned to the Tigres de Quintana Roo of the Mexican League, where he went 2-1 with a 4.26 ERA. He finished the season with the Idaho Falls Chukars and the Lexington Legends. Duarte has a 5.60 ERA in 27.1 innings thrown in 2019.

As of January 28, 2020, Duarte is with the Tigres de Quintana Roo. On February 7, he was released to pursue an MLB career. In 2021, Duarte played for the ACL Reds, High-A Dayton Dragons, Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts, and Triple-A Louisville Bats. On November 19, 2021, he was added to the 40-man roster.
