Danny Jansen

Daniel Robert Jansen professionally called Danny Jansen is an American-born professional baseball player who plays as a catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team. He is 1.88 m tall and weighs 104 kg. He currently earns $1,950,000 as an annual salary from the Blue Jays.

Jansen played high school baseball at Appleton West High School in Appleton, Wisconsin. After high school, he had intentions to play college baseball at Jacksonville University but he was drafted by the Blue Jays in the 16th round of the 2013 MLB draft.

He chose to sign with the Blue Jays instead of going to college. He made his professional debut that year with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays. In 2014, the Jays promoted him to the Rookie Advanced Bluefield Blue Jays. He spent the 2015 season with the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts.

In 2018, the Blue Jays called him up to the major leagues for the first time and on August 13, 2018, he made his MLB debut when they played against the Kansas City Royals.
