Danny Johnson, who will soon turn 26 years in this month, attended Southern University where he played college football and was the first player from that institution to be invited to the Senior Bowl in 20 years. Johnson took part in the NFL Combine in 2018.
The professional player was born on November 17, 1995. He plays cornerback for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League in American football (NFL).
Johnson was not taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, but the Washington Redskins quickly signed him to an undrafted free agent contract. In the Redskins’ regular-season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, he played in his first NFL game.
In the 24-6 triumph, he returned a kick 24 yards. Injured Reserve status was given to him on December 19, 2018.
As he recovers from his injury, Johnson was put on the physically unable to perform list to begin the 2019 season. He becomes operational on December 10th, 2019. Prior to being put on injured reserve on December 24, 2019, he started two games.
He re-signed with the team on March 23, 2021, however on August 31, 2021, he was let go, and the next day, he joined the practice squad.
Johnson was included in the roster of participants on October 5, 2021. Johnson re-signed with the team on March 23, 2022. He was released on August 30, 2022, and the following day he was added to the practice squad. He was brought back to the active roster on October 25, 2022.
