Daniel Alexander Young was born on May 27, 1994, he is an American professional Left Handed pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022.

Young graduated from Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida, in 2012. He attended the University of Florida to play college baseball for the Florida Gators.

The Toronto Blue Jays selected Young in the eighth round of the 2015 MLB draft. The Mariners promoted Young to the major leagues on May 5, 2022. He made his MLB debut on May 9 in relief, recording three strikeouts.

Danny Young was drafted 242nd in the 8th round by the Toronto Blue Jays. Danny graduated from Saint Andrew’s School in 2012 where he was a standout for the Scots baseball program. He earned MVP, Most Oustanding Hitter, Most Outstanding Pitcher and First Team All-County Honors as a Junior and Senior at Saint Andrew’s.

Danny is currently a junior member of the University of Florida baseball program being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll both his freshman and sophomore years.  As a left-handed pitcher, he is currently 2-0 for the Gators this season with a 2.42 ERA in 18 appearances and one start.
