In the National Football League, Dante Fowler Jr. plays defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys. He weighs 118 kg and is 1.91 m tall. He was a two-sport star in football and track at Lakewood High School, where he attended. After his senior year, he was selected for the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game and was given an honorable mention for the Sports Illustrated All-American football team.

When he attended the University of Florida, he participated in college football for the Florida Gators squad. He took part in every one of the 13 games he was a part of as a freshman, starting the game against Missouri. He had eight tackles for a loss, 30 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and eight total tackles.

With the third overall choice in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Fowler. In October 2018, he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams. In March 2020, he signed a three-year, $48 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons.
