Darius Slay Children: Who Is Darius Slay Son, Darion Slay?

Cornerback with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, Darius Slay is an American who plays professionally. He is a Brunswick, Georgia native who played running back and defensive back while attending Brunswick High School. After his senior year, he was selected for the Georgia North-South All-Star Game and was awarded defensive back All-State by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In addition to intercepting six passes and returning two of them for touchdowns, he ran for more than 1,300 yards and 15 scores in the 2008 season. After rushing for 336 yards and six touchdowns in five games during his junior year, a damaged medial collateral ligament ended his season. He ran for 1,127 yards on 142 attempts as a sophomore, scoring 13 times.

He attended Itawamba Community College before transferring to Mississippi State University in 2011. As a freshman at ICC, he was selected to the First Team All-State by the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) and to the All-Region 23 team by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Following his time at ICC, he played football for Dan Mullen’s Mississippi State Bulldogs.

In his two seasons at Mississippi State, he had 64 tackles, had six interceptions, and scored twice. Following his graduation from Mississippi State, he was projected to be selected in the second or third round of the draft. The Detroit Lions selected Slay in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In March 2020, he committed to the Philadelphia Eagles for a $50 million, three-year contract.
