American football running back Darrel Williams plays for the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals. He attended Louisiana State University, where he participated in collegiate football. As an undrafted free agent in 2018, the Kansas City Chiefs signed him.

In his senior season at John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana, Williams racked up 2,036 yards of total offense and scored 27 touchdowns, earning him a ranking as a four-star prospect. Arizona State, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Florida were among the schools that extended him a scholarship offer.

During Williams’ first year at LSU, he was part of a running back rotation that featured four players. As a senior, he filled up for an injured Derrius Guice in multiple starting lineups and was successful in doing so.

On October 21, 2017, he became the first player in LSU history to record at least 100 running yards and 100 receiving yards in the same game against Ole Miss. Following the conclusion of the 2017 campaign for LSU, Williams gladly accepted an invitation to participate in the 2018 Senior Bowl.
