He played football as a wide receiver and safety while attending Colerain High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was honored for having a 4.0 GPA in his final year and for receiving the Varsity Starter Award three times.



He made a commitment to the University of Connecticut in order to play collegiate football for the UConn Huskies. He played for Connecticut for two seasons before moving to Cincinnati in 2019. He started six of the 24 games he played in over those two years, compiling 38 tackles and seven sacks.

2019 at the University of Cincinnati saw him take part in all 14 games, starting 10. 36 total tackles, 1.5 for a loss, and 2 quarterback hurries were made by him. He received a spot on the 2019 AAC All-Academic Team. With 58 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2 interceptions in 10 starts in 2020, he had a productive season. He presided over contests in 2021 and was a nominee for the Dick Butkus Award.

The New York Giants selected Beavers in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 182nd overall choice. He tore his ACL in week two of the preseason against the Cincinnati Bengals, and was later placed on injured reserve.
