Forrest, who was born on May 22, 1999, attended Columbus, Ohio’s Walnut Ridge High School. Forrest, a 3-star recruit, chose Cincinnati over offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Miami (OH), Ohio, Toledo, and Youngstown State to play collegiate football.

The Washington Football Team selected Forrest in the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
