Major League Baseball’s Cincinnati Reds employ Dominican pitcher Dauri Michell Moreta (MLB).



On March 16, 2015, Moreta was signed as an international free agent by the Cincinnati Reds. During the 2015 Dominican Summer League season, he pitched for the Dominican Reds and went 1–2 with an ERA of 1.69 and 30 strikeouts in 21 13 innings pitched.

The AZL Reds and the Billings Mustangs were the two teams he pitched for in 2016, and he went 3–3 with a 1.89 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 33 13 innings of work. With Billings, he was 1–2 in 2017 with a 4.31 ERA in 45+1/3 innings, and 4–3 in 2018 with a 6.79 ERA in 55+2/3 innings for the Dayton Dragons.



During the 2019 season, Moreta appeared in 57+1/3 innings for the Daytona Tortugas, going 1–0 with a 2.35 ERA and striking out 64.  After the 2019 season, he played in the Arizona Fall League with the Glendale Desert Dogs.

The Minor League Baseball season was cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 epidemic. During the 2021 minor league season, Moreta was 6–0 with a 1.02 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 53 innings for the Chattanooga Lookouts and the Louisville Bats, respectively.

To begin with, on September 22, 2021, the Cincinnati Reds added Moreta to their 40-man roster and promoted him to Major League Baseball. He made his Major League Baseball debut on September 26, pitching a scoreless inning of relief for the Washington Nationals against the Astros.
