David Fletcher Parents: Meet Fernanda and Tim Fletcher

David Fletcher, born David Owen Fletcher is an American-born professional baseball player. He plays for the Los Angeles Angels baseball team and is in the position of an infielder. He played baseball non professionally at Cypress High School in Cypress, California where he attended.

When he completed high school, he continued at Loyola Marymount University where he played college baseball for the Loyola Marymount Lions. He played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2014 and he was named a league All-Star.

During the 2015 MLB draft, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 6th round of the draft. He agreed to the draft and signed with the Angels. He then began his professional career that season with both the Orem Owlz and Burlington Bees.

During the 2016 minor league season, he played for the Inland Empire 66ers and Arkansas Travelers. He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League after the season. He played in 2017 with the Mobile BayBears and Salt Lake Bees, The Angels promoted him to the majors on June 12, 2018, and he made his MLB debut the following day.
