Meet Jahmere Irvin-Sills and Emma Rebecca Sills

Jahmere Irvin-Sills and Emma Rebecca Sills are the siblings of David Sills V. Jahmere Irvin-Sills is the adopted brother of the Sill family. Jahmere lost his family at a young age. His biological mom was killed and his brother was killed in a house fire not long after he left.

He began to build a new family that day, as his old one fell apart when he met David Sills IV at a local football practice facility.

Jahmere moved in with the Sills family, who subsequently adopted him, amid an excruciating tragedy. He eventually adopted Irvin-Sills as his last name and was awarded a scholarship to Mississippi State.

Emma Sills is a former golfer and now serving as the UD women’s golf program’s volunteer assistant coach.

Sills competed in 11 tournaments while a member of the Delaware women’s golf team over the first five years of the team’s existence. During her final two seasons, she won the Team Sportsmanship Award and represented the group on the UD Student-Athlete Advisory Council.

Sills, a native of Bear, Delaware, earned a professional writing degree in English from Delaware last spring.
