Seventh-day Adventist Stephanie Taylor, Davion Taylor’s mother, raised him in Magnolia, Mississippi. Taylor did not play high school football while attending South Pike High School because of the beliefs of his faith.

In high school, he played basketball and track. The day Davion Taylor was born was August 5, 1998. He participates in American football as a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL).

He was selected by the Eagles in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft after playing college football for Colorado.

The injured reserve was activated on December 9, 2020. On December 30, he was given the go-ahead to activate off injured reserve, and on January 10 he started working out with the club once more.

However, the squad did not do so before the season was over. Week 6 of the 2021 season saw Taylor start for the team, however, a knee injury forced him to be placed on injured reserve on November 24.
