Dean Marlowe is a safety for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Prior to joining the Falcons, the veteran spent some playing years with the Carolina Panthers (2015–2016), Buffalo Bills (2017–2020), and Detroit Lions (2021).

After college football, Marlowe participated in the 2015 NFL draft but went undrafted. He was later signed by the Panther as an undrafted free agent. On September 5, 2015, Marlowe was one of the lucky 53 players to make the team’s roster.

Dean Marlowe Professional Career

Marlowe was not part of the Panthers team that played in the 50th annual Super Bowl on February 7, 2016. In that game, Carolina Panthers were defeated by the Denver Broncos by a score of 24–10.



Marlowe suffered a hamstring injury on September 20, 2016, and as a result, he was placed on the injured reserve team.

Marlowe was waived by the Panthers on August 8, 2017, and he was subsequently placed on injured reserve. The Panthers finally cut him off on August 15, 2017.

Marlowe inked a contract to play with the Detroit Lions on April 8th, 2021. In the nine starts of the 16 games he played for the Lions, he finished with 67 tackles and two passes defensed to his credit.

Marlowe and the Falcons finalized a year contract with the team on March 31, 2022.
