For the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, DeAndre Rashaun Hopkins plays wide receiver in American football. He stands 1.85 meters tall and weighs 96 kilograms. He went to D. W. Daniel High School in Central, South Carolina, where he played high school football. He participated in track and field and basketball for the Lions sporting teams.

He had 57 receptions for 1,266 yards and 18 touchdowns throughout his high school football career, as well as 28 interceptions and five touchdowns on defense. At Clemson University, he participated in collegiate football for the Clemson Tigers football team.

Hopkins was chosen by the Houston Texans with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In the season opener against the San Diego Chargers, when he made his NFL debut, the Texans trailed 28-7 at one point but won 31-28 thanks to five receptions for 55 yards from him. He was traded by the Texans to the Arizona Cardinals in March 2020.
