Outside linebacker with the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL, DeAngelo Malone is a professional football player. He is 1.93 m tall and 109 kg in weight. Later, he transferred to Cedar Grove High School from Martin Luther King Jr. High School. He committed to play college football for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at Western Kentucky University after graduating from high school.
He was regarded as a three-star prospect. He had a total of 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and five quarterback hurries as a rookie. He finished the season with 60 tackles, nine tackles for loss, six sacks, eight quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles. As a sophomore, he was named honorable mention All-Conference USA.
He made 99 total tackles during his junior season, ranking fourth in the country with tackles for loss of 21. In addition, he recorded 16 quarterback hurries, 16.5 sacks, 11.5 sacks, a fumble recovery returned for a score, and was 12th in the country in quarterback hurries. In 2019 and 2021, he was selected the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year and first team All-Conference USA.
Additionally, he was selected as one of ESPN’s top five outside linebacker prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft as well as the preseason Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year. Malone was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the 82nd pick in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
