Dominican professional baseball pitcher Deivi Anderson Garcia was born on May 19, 1999, and now plays for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball. He is of Dominican descent (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2020.
Garcia was born in Bonao, Dominican Republic, and raised there throughout his childhood. He has two brothers who are older than him.
As a child, Garcia was tutored in baseball by his father, who had previous experience in the field. His mother, who was a physician, chose to put her profession on hold in order to raise their family.
