In the National Football League, Delarrin Turner-Yell plays safety for the Denver Broncos. The man is 91 kg and 1.8 m tall. Hempstead High School was the institution where he went to school and played football. Following high school, he received a three-star recruit rating from Baylor, Houston, and Iowa all made offers, but he decided to go to the University of Oklahoma.

He was a member of the Oklahoma Sooners football team while he was a student at Oklahoma. After missing the first six games due to injury in 2018, as a freshman, he participated in seven of the final eight games and recorded 12 tackles for the year. He played strong safety in each of his 13 games in 2019.

His 75 tackles put him in second place on the team, and he also finished with 5.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and three interceptions. In 2020, he once again finished second on the team with 52 total tackles (32 solo, 20 assisted), 2.0 tackles for loss, and an interception. In the 10 games, he played, started eight of them, and took part.

In 2021, he was selected to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team. That season, he started every game and participated in all 10 of them. The Denver Broncos made Turner-Yell their fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, taking him with the 152nd overall pick.
