Dennis Anfernee Santana Sánchez (born April 12, 1996) is a Dominican Major League Baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers (MLB). He is 6 feet 2 inches tall.



He formerly played for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball. In March 2013, Santana signed as an international free agent with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In 2014, he made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Dodgers, where he lasted the entire season, finishing 2-1 with a 1.05 ERA in twenty games.



He pitched for the Arizona League Dodgers and Ogden Raptors in 2015, earning a 2-5 record and 6.42 ERA in 13 games (11 starts), and the Great Lakes Loons in 2016, compiling a 5-9 record and 3.07 ERA with 124 strikeouts in 111.1 innings.

In 2016, he was a Midwest League All-Star with the Loons. He threw five innings for the Dodgers in three appearances in 2019, surrendering four runs on six hits. He was 5–9 with a 6.94 ERA in 27 outings (17 starts) with Oklahoma City.

Santana appeared in 12 games with the Dodgers during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, posting a 1–2 record and a 5.29 ERA. Santana was designated for assignment on June 12, 2021, after posting a 6.00 ERA in 16 outings to start the 2021 season.

Santana was traded to the Texas Rangers in exchange for Kelvin Bautista on June 17, 2021, and was assigned to the Triple-A Round Rock Express.
