Deolis Alexander Guerra (born April 17, 1989) is a Venezuelan Major League Baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics.

He formerly played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Angels, and Philadelphia Phillies, among other teams.

Guerra signed as a non-drafted free agent with the New York Mets on July 2, 2005. On July 30, 2006, he was named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week.



Guerra played for the World Team in Major League Baseball’s All-Star Futures Game on July 8, 2007.

Guerra signed a minor league contract with the Oakland Athletics on February 2, 2021, and was invited to Spring Training.

Guerra was released by the Athletics on March 26, but he re-signed with the team the next day on a minor level contract.

Guerra’s contract was selected to the active roster on April 8, 2021, to replace the injured A.J. Puk.

Guerra made a career-high 53 appearances for Oakland in 2021, throwing to a 4.11 ERA in 65.2 innings pitched, with 62 strikeouts.

Guerra was placed on the 60-day disabled list with a damaged right ulnar collateral ligament on April 7, 2022. Guerra underwent Tommy John surgery on April 13 and will miss the whole 2022 season.
